sudofetch Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: September 26, 2026

This policy is part of the sudofetch Terms of Service. It describes what you may not do with the Service. If you are unsure whether a use is allowed, ask us at support@sudofetch.com before you start.

Fetch only what you are allowed to fetch

You may not use the Service to:

  1. Access content behind a login, paywall or other access control that you are not authorized to access. That includes using credentials, sessions or cookies that are not yours.
  2. Submit credentials to sign-in or account endpoints. No credential stuffing, account takeover, password spraying or automated account creation.
  3. Overload or disrupt a site. No request volumes or patterns meant to degrade, deny or significantly burden a target's service.
  4. Infringe intellectual property. Do not copy and republish content in a way that violates copyright, trademark or database rights.
  5. Break a site's terms where they bind you. For example, do not scrape a site whose terms you have agreed to (through an account with it) in a way those terms prohibit.

Handle personal data lawfully

You may not use the Service to:

  1. Collect personal data without a lawful basis under the privacy laws that apply to you (such as GDPR or the CCPA).
  2. Build profiles for stalking, harassment, doxxing or surveillance of individuals.
  3. Collect sensitive data (health, biometric, precise location, children's data, or data revealing race, religion, sexual orientation or political views) about identifiable people.
  4. Make or support decisions about individuals' eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy, or otherwise act as a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws.
  5. Support debt collection or background checks.
  6. Harvest email addresses or phone numbers for spam or unsolicited marketing.

Don't abuse the Service itself

You may not:

  1. Share, sell or publish API keys, or run multiple free or trial accounts to get extra free credits.
  2. Resell raw access to the Service as a proxy or scraping API without a written agreement with us.
  3. Probe, scan or test the Service's security, or bypass its rate limits, domain blocks or other controls.
  4. Use the Service to distribute malware, run phishing, commit fraud, or do anything illegal.
  5. Use the Service for law-enforcement or intelligence surveillance without a written agreement with us.

Restricted categories

Some kinds of sites carry more legal risk, such as social networks, professional networks, dating services and sign-in pages. We may block these by default, limit them, or require you to tell us your use case first. We may change the restricted list at any time.

Reporting abuse and blocking requests

If you own or operate a website and want sudofetch to stop fetching it, or you want to report misuse, email support@sudofetch.com with the domain and a description. We may ask for reasonable proof that you control the site. We aim to respond within 2 business days. We may block the domain for all customers at our discretion.

Enforcement

If you break this policy, we may warn you, block requests, suspend your account or close it, as described in the Terms. Credits in an account closed for a violation are forfeited. We may report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
